they never wanted it to happen… they didnt mean it…
what to do? call an ambulance? call the authorities?

everything was a cloudy haze. some stopped dancing, some left, some shouted out of shock, and some cried. they all felt at cause. they felt lost. slowly, the music faded away, and the neon lights were invisible. the empty outdoor place was lit only by the strong light of the full moon. everything turned, people talked slower.

this was not planned. this was not supposed to happen.
this can not be happening.

nirvana, where to find it? surely not here…
nirvana, is there really such thing?

the girl, in a middle of a ciricle of people, stopped shivering. lying down on the cold cemented floor, she was mouthing a few words. tears fell from her eyes.

why wouldnt anyone do anything?
fear.
why wouldnt anyone help her?
fear.

soon, the tears were camouflaged, as raindrops fell from the sky. the irony in that, huh?

the spin, this ride seemed to stop in a jolt
or so, they thought…
long, in the distance, sirens could be heard.

The tension rose. Everyone, exhausted from this seemingly long night was overcome by hysteria.

***

The tension died. Everyone was thinking it, and feeling it, too. But no one said a word. That sensation of well being and high, sunk in each and every soul present in that place. Every bad feeling, every anger, everything… replaced by this bond that was made. For a moment, they were all at peace with each other. Quiet, and peaceful, a light seemed to shine upon them.

Could someone ever feel this much joy?
Is this the limit of it all?
Would it all be perfect from now on?
Have I found nirvana?

A certain feeling it was… a part energetic and excited, the other calm, and rested.
How can it be possible?

That night, they did manage the impossible. They connected. They bonded. All standing, they started to dance to a rythym they felt only in ther hearts… and the bass drum of the techno music coming out from those big-ass speakers. They danced. They smiled. They were all happy.
That hysteria overflowed them all again.

Until, one of them dropped to the floor, eyelids open, shivering non-stop.

The tension rose…
And the bond died…
… forever.
